ESAs are considered as normal pets now and need to follow the rules of in-cabin, checked baggage and cargo area, must be in their carrier during the whole flight, and need to pay the pet fee. 

If you are saying your ESA helps you with mental disability, then you must first register your animal as a psychiatric service dog (PSD) and PSDs are allowed in-cabin without the carrier and free of cost like service animals.
