The luggage allowance of Turkish Airlines is determined by weight for certain international routes, such as those to the United States, and by piece for others.

Here's everything you need to know about Turkish Airlines baggage allowance and fees if you're taking a flight with them soon.

Turkish Airlines Carry-on Baggage Allowance

Your carry-on and cabin baggage allotment is determined by your class of travel, according to Turkish Airlines' baggage policy. As indicated in the chart below, you are allowed to carry up to two things for free. Aside from this, you are permitted to bring one 4 kg personal item (refer to the second table). Personal Items are allowed on Board.

Turkish Airlines Checked Baggage Allowance (Registered Baggage/Luggage)

The website of Turkish Airlines no longer shows the allowed amount of checked baggage. Using Turkish Airlines' free baggage calculator, you may determine the precise amount of luggage allowed for your trip.

All checked baggage must meet the maximum weight and size restrictions as per Turkish Airlines' policy. The following is additional crucial information about the check-in baggage allowance:

When traveling on flights that use the piece system, including those to and from the US and Canada, the allowed amount of checked baggage is:

  • 50 pounds/23 kg each bag in Economy Class 2 (or 100 pounds/46 kilogram each passenger).
  • Business Class: Two baggage weighing 70 lbs./32 kg each, or 140 lbs./64 kg per passenger.

  • You are not limited in how many pieces you can carry.
  • Young children (0–2 years) One 22-pound (10-kg) luggage and one collapsible stroller/pushchair.

Miles & Smiles frequent flyer members with Elite/Elite Plus level are permitted to check one additional piece of luggage.

A single piece of checked luggage may not have maximum linear dimensions (length + width + height) greater than 158 cm/62 in.
